So. I've been home for a couple weeks. I'll be home for about another week and a half. Dorms open the 8th. More consistent updates will occur at that point. My break has been awesome. Yeah, boy.
In other news, my website is finally making progress. I'll probably be able to launch it next week. w00t!!
Thursday:
Jazz Band concert. Went really well. I was happy. We played:
(Jazz Band)
Satin Doll
Dizzy Atmosphere
What a Difference a Day Made
Fever
Afterburner
(Jazz Combo)
Freddie Freeloader
Four on Six
One Note Samba
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
(Jazz Band)
Birdland
Let it Snow
White Christmas (very hip swing version, I might add)
Rudolph
Apparently this show also has vaulted me to somewhat of celebrity status on campus. More on that later.
Friday:
Meh... This was a bad day all around. Couldn't wake up, then had a ton of stuff to do, including: Practice, work on speech, get camcorder for speech, go to my lesson, eat, and do my laundry. Between the hours of 10 and 3. I probably ran across campus about fifteen times that day.
Afterwards, I got done with all that and came back to my room and crashed for about an hour. Then I decided I had to get off campus for a while, so I got up and went to Zaxby's for dinner. For those of you who do not know what Zax is, it's probably the best chicken joint I've been too. Better than Chik'fil'a. Anyways. After that, I went to the mall to go hang out at game attic for a while. That's a cool store, even if they do overcharge ridiculous amounts for games that are ten to twenty years old. I bought this.
Then I came back and watched Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. I have yet to decide if I like it or not.
Saturday
Mostly, yesterday I studied. But then I went to a Christmas party. Had a lot of fun. The house it was at was really, really nice. I'd go into a lot of details, but it wouldn't be as fun for other people to read about how good of time I had, because the stuff we did probably wouldn't be as fun for other people.
I got back at like 12:50, though. Crazyness! Latest I've ever been out since being up here.
Oh yeah, about that whole "celebrity" thing. Basically, the people that were there that I didn't know, knew me as "Oh, hey, you're that Jazz guitarist!" Kinda funny, really.
Today
Homework and studying for finals again. So, that's what I'm going to go do now. Peace out, folks.
Today was a great day, really. I promise.
Tonight, however, sucked beyond all suckage. I get done with my last class, watch G.I. Joe: The Movie, which was awesome, then I got ready to go to the show (local group and Anberlin). So I'm like drivin' around downtown and I forget where the place is. So I turn off on the wrong street and go around behind the place and notice there aren't any cars. So I'm like, "OK, maybe I missed it". So I head out and turn back around and get back on the main street. I drive past it in front and I see the sign... it says "Cancelled". At which point I say "CRAP!!!!" So I turn around and come back here, and get all depressed and stuff. Now I'm writing on here, and next I'll probably start working on stuff for finals because they're rapidly approaching, which is lame. But awesome because I get to go home sooner. I'm also currently annoyed with my friends from back home because none of them ever even bother to try and contact me, which is lamer than lame. Just goes to show how "good" my friends are.
Also, concert tomorrow. Should be fun.
I'm going to go sulk now for a little while longer...
So yeah, I wake up this morning at 8:00 to my alarm clock, at which point, I normally turn it off. Well this morning, I can't find the button to put it on snooze or the switch that turns it off. Finally after about a good twenty seconds of beeping, I shut it off.
Next time I wake up it's about 9:00. Yeah, so I overslept. At least I have no morning classes on Monday. So I loaf around until about 11 and go take my tux shirt to the cleaners so I can have it by Thursday for the concert. Speaking of concerts, we totally owned the Christmas show! Incredible response from the audience. Literally a standing ovation from everyone in the chapel. Or at least as far as I could see.
So yeah. I had Speech class today. Sucked, as usual. I'm doing my news commentary on the 360. Yay! I finally get to talk about something I know about!
Not much else right now, really. I've got my Psych test tomorrow, which I'm about to study for. Also, if anyone who reads this still plays Starcraft, or plays Panzers: Phase 1, like let me know. I need to play some folks online. So I can get owned a bunch of times.
I love Blogger. First off, it doesn't lag up like Xanga has taken to so recently. Second, it's a clean layout, one of my most neccesary things in life. Third, it's a change, and change is good. That is all folks. Xanga is closed for me.
Just trying this out. Looking to maybe switch from Xanga.
